X7535 H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Copy to PN.{Mr Northey} PH FBS{F. Bell-Scott}2/HK{Col. T. Harker - Sales}25.1.30 Batteries on Phantom II Chassis. I notice excessive corrosion on terminals and bridge pieces due, I consider, to insufficient ventilation. The space between the batteries and lid{A. J. Lidsey} of the box is not, in my opinion sufficient to allow of a quick get away of the moist gasses given off when charging, with the result that these gasses settle on the terminals and bridge pieces and cause quick and serious corrosion. I suggest that, in order to provide adequate ventilation, deeper lids with holes drilled at ends and sides be fitted to the boxes. FBS.{F. Bell-Scott} 24.1.30. | ||
