Copy to S. Cr.{Mr Cra???ster / Mr Chichester} Hh. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} RHO. x304 E/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}2/WN. 18th. June, 1935. Messrs. Park Ward & Co., 473, High Road, Willesden, London, N.W.10. For the attention of C.W.Ward, Esq. Dear Sirs, Wide Framed Phantom Front Wing. In a previous letter of the 13th. inst. we have asked you to make for us seven sets of front wings, for our own use. We send you herewith a blue print of LeC 4555 showing a full size design of the wing with dimensions, the shapes on this drawing may be traced off where dimensions are not given. The shape of wing shown is a compromise of that used on the 31-EX and the Continental Touring Saloon, 32-EX, as these wings will have to be used on bodies of either types. We would like these front wings fitted to the Enclosed Limousine for A.N. London, body No.5 and also the Continental Touring Saloon with division, body No.6. With respect to the Continental Touring Saloon for the Experimental Department, 33-EX, we would like these wings fitted to this car. You will have recorded that the front wings for this car are to be in steel. Including a set of front wings which you will require yourselves this makes a total of ten sets of aluminium wings and one set of steel wings. Over and above all these we now ask you to make one further set of these wings in aluminium, which we wish you to supply to us for the purpose of acting as a model, in connection with obtaining wings by machine processes. Yours faithfully, For and on behalf of Att:Lec.4555. | ||
