SPECTRECodename for Phantom III. Scuttle and Dash Attachment.

We send herewith LeC 4526 showing the arrangement for attaching the scuttle of SpectreCodename for Phantom III bodies rigidly to the dashboard.

An adjustable wooden packing wrapped in baize or other suitable anti-squeak material is fitted by the coachbuilder. An angle rubber strip protects the joint from water, and besides being solutioned it is held down on its rear edge by a metal bead screwed to the scuttle.

We have fixed the shape of the inner face of the scuttle armature to ensure that the correct clearances relative to the dashboard pot will be provided, and we have fixed the thickness of the scuttle armature rail. This will help in connection with our scheme for noise deadening.

The special chromium plated headed bolts are of nickel steel and the necessary nuts and washers etc. are to be supplied by ourselves.
