Unless absolutely essential, it is considered undesirable to interfere with either of the above two cars.

B.8-AW " " O.K.
B.2-AW " " O.K.
B.38-AW " O.K., less dipstick. O.K.

B-4-AW " O.K. O.K.
Frame No.
B-V-20 Casing only O.K.
B-V-22 " " O.K.
B-V-25 " " O.K.
B-V-24 " " O.K.
B-V-23 " " O.K.
B-V-21 " " O.K.

B-V-17 O.K. less change O.K.โœ”
speed lever & gate
(used on Mr.Reed's
car when he broke
down recently in
London).

In the case of Frame No.B-V-17, the gearbox here was removed from the car of Capt. Barnato., who complained of excessive rattle on overdrive. We used the gearbox from Frame B-V-17 and found a slight improvement on the changeover, and Capt. Barnato has not commented since.

You will see from the above we have 4 gearboxes substantially complete, and 13 axles which appear to be complete as far as external examination discloses. We presume you will let us know if and when you require any of these.
