RR 238 (150 BKS.) (BH57.29-6-20.) MP 224358 ROLLS-ROYCE, LTD. INSTRUCTIONS. 19 To Order No. PC 144 (2) Customer's No. been, at some time, badly blackened and fitted; the inner control brush, obviously, having been partially rebedded. 5 The machine was found to have the early control brush setting of 120° from the positive. It appears that overheating was local, at the commutator, and, judging from the 'flats' which have been worn on the commutator, overheating was due to flashing at the brushes at these points. This rather suggests that the initial fault was a break in the insulation of the armature winding. Signed C.A.P. This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
