X8783do To HY.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} from EFC. c.c. Mr Brock. EFC3/T17.8.27. DYNAMO CE.45 NX CHASSIS 97-HC. We find this dynamo to have developed an armature insulation fault, the armature being earthed to the core at one place. This would appear to be sufficient to account for the melting of the solder and the condition of the brushes and commutator. Incidentally, however, it was found that the machine had the early control brush setting of 120° which is now 122°. The armature will require renewing and, amongst other things, the brush holder insulation will require overhauling. We return the machine to HY.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} EFC. | ||
