Hanbury - Head Complaints} 23.9.25. the tyres we receive from the Dunlop Company are within the limits specified against paragraph numbered 2. In regard to paragraph numbered 3, the balance weights will deal with any tyre we have been issued by the Dunlop Company, and keep it within the limits specified in regard to 2, but other makes of tyres do not come under this heading. For instance, Michelin, Goodyear and particularly Rapsons are outside of the limits in question. We have actually had Rapson tyres as much as 17 ounces out of balance. In regard to paragraph numbered 5, I would like to remind you that we are not at liberty to fit the .940 lead in view of your instruction until it has passed the 10,000 miles test. The .940 lead referred to is the thread that can be cut on existing worn shafts and nut which are uncut, and was put forward by H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} as an intermediate proposition for immediate use, the "immediate use" clause was definitely tabooed by yourself. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Ry | ||
