NEW STEERING. INSTRUCTED ON PRODUCTION BY YOU (BY/HEB{H. Biraben}8/M.1.9.25. AND BY/HEB{H. Biraben}7/M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} 5.9.25.) FOR "W" & "X" SERIES.

As a result of Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}' recent visit to Mr.Royce, it is now definitely decided that the damped pendulum lever is considered obsolete. The old pendulum lever should be reinstructedand the Works informed that further to having to stop work on the pendulum lever parts, this scheme is now considered definitely cancelled.

One point will arise in your mind, namely, the rocking shaft. The new rocking shaft instructed for the new pendulum lever scheme was slightly long. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} says that West WitteringHenry Royce's home town are anxious to preserve the new length of rocking shaft in case at any future date some further improvement might make the pendulum lever usable.
