The position generally was discussed regarding controllable dampers, and Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} remarked that the position seemed to be un- satisfactory and the adoption of suitable control seemed a long way off.

Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} said he would raise the question with R.{Sir Henry Royce}

Item 5 on agenda. 20/25 Dynamo - recent memos and present position.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} exhibited a graph LEC.3144 shewing the improved output of the new armature fitted in the existing carcase.

Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} and PN.{Mr Northey} expressed satisfaction at the improvement shewn.

BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} was requested to look into the question of a convenient time to adopt the new armature and to report to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} giving cost of scrap.

Item 6 on agenda. Clutches and recent memos. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/AD6.7.32 and R1/15.7.32.

Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} referred to the great amount of free of charge work being done on clutches in service, and to the expense of this work, which is constantly going on.

He also remarked on the large number of clutches which have to be rectified by re-lining and was rather apprehensive as to what was going to happen to clutches when synchro mesh boxes are in general use, bearing in mind the statements of Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} that the clutches will then have much more work imposed on them.

BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} said that the linings now being fitted are very much better than the older type, and the latest kind give very little trouble.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} reported that many experiments are in progress with a view to improving clutches and in this respect certain proprietary clutches were being obtained for investigation purposes.

Item 7 on agenda. 20/25 Material and Worl/GR{George Ratcliffe}10.6.32.

Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} instructed that production of 20/25 chassis should proceed at the rate of eight per week until further notice.

Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} agreed to the ordering up of 100 sets of material at once with the exception of:-
