Dear C.J.

Trials Cars.

We still have not a respectable body to put on a car for trials purposes, or we do not use it. The green one I had to-day had absurdly high seats in the rear of the car and very much too far back; also the cushions were very thin and very hard. I don't think it is much use sending such a car for trial purposes, [Handwritten annotation:] I got this removed & replaced by a better (good) one by Holmes.

I also think that all trials cars should be fitted with detachable rims,- Vinet or Michelin, and if studded tyres are needed, they should be used on the rear wheels only and the two spare rims could carry the studded or plain ones according to which were in use.
