CONTINUATION - 2 - CORNERCROFT LIMITED Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd., Derby. 12/1/39. One serious snag with this disc is that no provision is made for centralising it on the wheel during the process of tightening up. The centre hole does not register until the disc is right home and clear of the taper, and there is insufficient bearing surface on the nut to obtain an even location unless the disc is carefully positioned. The Writer proposes to visit your Works on Monday morning and bring the samples along, when the matter may be further discussed. The sample disc assembly for the steel wheel is now completed and Mr. Bailey has arranged to inspect this at the same time. It is hoped to reach Derby at about 11.30 a.m. Assuring you at all times of our best attention to your requirements, We are, Yours faithfully, Joint Managing Director. ENC. 1. | ||
