x4522 Exptl: Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Les.19/KW. 7th September, 1934. Messrs. Wilmot-Breeden Ltd., Eastern Works, Camden Street, BIRMINGHAM 1. For the attention of Mr. Berry. Dear Sir, In the beginning of January this year you supplied us with a stabilising bumper for a 25 HP. car. This showed a distinct improvement in reducing frame oscillation. We are now trying this particular bumper on a Bentley car, and although there is an improvement in reduction of frame oscillation, the improvement is such that it does not justify the extra weight added to the chassis. As this bumper was built up for a car having a different frame stiffener, we are now wondering if further improvement could be gained by tuning the bumper frequency. If this is so, we suggest bringing the car over to you. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
