The springs were checked for poundage and freedom from collapse after test and found to be correct. Initial load of dampers - 45 lbs. with valves raised .005 off seats. ? The general condition is satisfactory, with the exception of the off-side rebound buffer, which is breaking away from the plate. The Upper and Lower Triangle Levers have been crack tested and found satisfactory. A slight foul has occurred between the coiled Oil Pipe and Fulcrum Pin Bore. It was observed that the breathers had been sweated up in France; these would therefore appear unnecessary. ? The off-side Surface Plate on the Front Pan for the Main Lever Housing is distorted .020, as illustrated by Ex.I.203 attached. continued. | ||
