261 BAYSWATER 4631. 12, KENSINGTON PALACE GARDENS, W.8. November 5th, 1937. Dear Sir, Mr. Sleator informs me that he asked you to prepare two wheels with the big tyres for me to try on my car. Would you be good enough to send them either direct to my Garage (14, Palace Gardens Mews, W. 8) or to your Depot in London. I should like to have the following information:- Do they make any difference to the acceleration of the car? Do they make any difference to the top speed of the car? If you have not this information I should very much like you to get it for me, as it is easier for you to do it than me, because I shall be driving my car out against Lagonda, and I want my car to give the best performance possible. Do you find it improves the springing and comfort of the car, and is it better for road holding, cornering and braking? Yours &c Cholmondeley (The Marquess of Cholmondeley). - Rowbottom, Esq., Messrs. Rolls Royce, Ltd., DERBY. [Faint watermark text] GROSVENOR STREET W LONDON | ||
