W.A. Robotham, Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited,
Derby.
Dear Robotham,
Thanks for yours of the 8th.
We have not succeeded in getting rid of our wide gap plugs, because the long reach plug has not reached the state of production uniformity.
You would do well to find out how to utilise wide gaps.
You really have a lot to learn about miles per gallon you know.
I am enclosing herewith a data sheet on our Bedford engine, which will give you the information you require, and from a standpoint of slogging, we feel satisfied that our engine will out-slog most truck engines available to-day.
I should like to see your 78,000 mile Bedford engine and find out in what way it is finished. Bedfords of the future, we hope, will double the mileage of the present from a standpoint of life and if you feel over-inquisitive some day, come along and we will show you what lies behind the curtains.
Yours sincerely,
Alex Taub.
Encl.
