-5- Item 17 on agenda. Bosch Switch and Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst5/ALB.4.32. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} asked for the Bosch Switch to be used on Benaport, as these will be made by C.A.V. in England in future. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} instructed that C.A.V. be written to and asked when the Bosch equipment will be in production in England. Item 18. Not on agenda. Burney Car. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} said that he was receiving communications from Burney regarding RR. taking an interest in his designs and patents. After discussion it was decided that Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} would write to Burney putting him off for the time being. Item 19. Not on agenda. 20/25 Dynamo. PN.{Mr Northey} raised the question of generator outputs and cutting in speeds, and said that the 20/25 HP machine was unsatisfactory in both respects. As a result of the discussion E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} was requested to look into the possibilities of adapting the P.II dynamo to the 20/25 chassis. E.s tated that a new armature was in process of making for the 20/25 machine, having increased number of conductors and heavier gauge wire, which should give improvement in both of the conditions complained of. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} said that this armature would be ready for test in a few days time. Item 20. Not on agenda. International Alpine Trial. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} asked for advice respecting a request from Mr. Pass of Pass & Joyce that we assist him to prepare a P.II car so that he may enter it in the above competition. No decision was arrived at but particulars of the rules and regulations were left with Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} for him to study and report. PH. left the conference. AERO MATTERS. The agenda regarding Aero questions was not proceeded with owing to the absence of Rg.{Mr Rowledge} A few items were discussed as follows: - | ||
