The first essential is [h]thus[/h] [s]that[/s] to get your brochure prepared so that the [h]Director[/h] [s][h]Inspector[/h][/s] [s]Deputy[/s] of Naval Ordnance can get approval to proceed, immediately after which we shall have a definite statement of the requirement for these guns covered by a contract.

.....

Director of Armament Supply will then require a comprehensive schedule of all the steel required and will inform you as to the sources of supply which are to be utilised. In this connection, we have in stock a large range of sizes from 6" square and round downwards of "A.A" steel to N.O.D. Specification E.39 enclosed and if you can arrange to use this for the smaller parts wherever possible, material provision will be much facilitated.

Yours sincerely,
