Early tests on production dynamometer were conducted without cooling effects and temperatures reached were abnormal compared with road conditions. Oil used from 7.1.37. onwards - Wakefield E.P.(R.R.) Centre Case G.85153. (not ribbed type). General condition good - bores checked for alignment and found O.K. Diff. Box. All exposed surfaces heavily coated with burnt oil, etc. R.H. G.54469. (unstrengthened type). L.H. G.56131. Magnetic tested for cracks and found O.K. Joint faces show signs of fidgetting around stud holes. Driving shaft bushes slightly scored. continued. | ||
