1256 EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}3/JH. 20th. May, 1939. The Light Production Co.Ltd., 60/66 Rochester Row, LONDON.S.W.1. For the attention of Mr. Brooks, Dear Sirs, In answer to your letter dated 17th. May. With reference to your foundry trouble with raised crown pistons, we appreciate that this has arrisen now that you have gone to 'as cast' finish on the crown. We have considered your drawing No.A.2291 which shows the proposed tapered crown, in relation to our combustion chamber, there is no reason why the taper should not be adopted right away, and we therefore agree to your proposal. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
