X1238 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}11/LG. 5th. Dec. 1921. F.L. Rapson, Esq., Burlington Rd., New Malden, Surrey. Dear Sir, In September 1920, we ordered from you a set of Rapson Tyres for tests on one of our experimental Cars. The results we obtained with them were very poor. It was agreed by you that we should return the tyres and receive the money back we had paid for them. We have run on our experimental cars, tyres supplied by most of the makers. We should be very pleased if you could let us know on what terms you could let us have a set of tyres for running on an Experimental Car. The majority of tyre makers have let us have a set of tyres free of charge on condition that we furnish them every fortnight with a report giving particulars of the mileage run, tyre pressures, condition under which the car was used, weight of car, etc.etc. Any time you wished to examine the tyres, we could arrange this. All worn or damaged tyres would be returned to you. Yours faithfully, [Reversed embossed watermark: RAPSON TYRE CO LONDON] | ||
