Re: Double Rear Brakes
As Mr Haldenby had pointed out that the parts were very springy I pointed the above fact out to him & asked him to try up the parts more carefully & see if the spring was not in the brake drum, he went into the matter & has told me since that when the shoes are properly bedded there seems to be very little spring indeed he thinks the whole of the trouble was due to imperfect bedding of the shoes as he tested the drum for being pushed out of round & reported it was hardly measurable.
I am calling your attention to the above as it seems to me it may have some bearing upon the question of fitting the new levers with reduced toggle arms.
