Re: OILS FOR TESTING PURPOSES.
(FRANCO-EGYPTIAN COMPANY.)

We are sending you in case No.1357; 4 Gallons. approximately, of oil for testing and report, made up as follows:

2 - 1 Gallon tin of H.L. Engine oil.
2 - 1 " " L.L. Gear oil.

The owner of this Company is our Customer, Mr. Nobel.

This oil is being sent to you with a view to your testing its suitability for Rolls-Royce cars. It has been specially blended for us and contains Russian oil.

If your tests are satisfactory we shall recommend this oil to our Customers as it will be found, and obtainable throughout France and at the same time cheaper than oils from England.

Kindly let us have your report on your tests, and if you have any recommendations to make as to alterations of specification, Mr Nobel will be pleased to carry out your suggestions.

The specification of the oils sent is:

H.L. ENGINE OIL. Viscosity Endler at 50° 15.
Gravity 0.912.
Flash point 230 - 235.
Freezing 3% cent.below zero.

L.L. GEAR OIL. Viscosity Endler at 100° 3.
Gravity 0.906.
Flash point 243.
Freezing zero.
