London, W.1.

Dear Sirs,

ATTENTION OF MR. LAPPIN.

With further reference to the Petrolift you recently returned to us, we have now examined this pump carefully and find that probably in order to clean the filter bowl, someone has been rather heavy handed with the nut at the bottom and has buckled what we term the Inlet Ring, this, of course, breaking the joint and allowing petrol to escape into the electrical apparatus, and also causing a bad air leak. We might add this is the first case we have had of this happening.

Assuring you of our best attention,

Yours faithfully,
For THE S.U.CO.

(Signed) T.C.SKINNER.
