RE. NO.3.GOSHAWK - HOOPER ORIGINAL LIMOUSINE.

(1) APPEARANCE - RADIATOR & BONNET.

The suggested tank at the top of the radiator with drooping shoulders is considered by all here as inelegant and positively ugly. In our present object it is not rational because we wish to have greater depth to the tank in the middle. It suggests to me that the car is not RR. at all and not unlike the Sizaire Berwick, or some stranger. I cannot agree to it or get the staff here to agree.

Personally I cannot see any advantage in making the car look other than exactly RR., and certainly would not have it made unless it had a very good appearance. It would do infinitely more harm than good that can be obtained by making it look dissimilar to the 40/50. Personally I cannot see any reason why, if we are supplying it at all, it should not look like the 40/50 exactly, except for size.

I propose therefore that we make it as nice as we know how, or not at all.

(2) STEERING COLUMN. "B" TYPE.

Under the present circumstances I think we should pass the present position and length of the steering column as being satisfactory.

(3) PEDALS.

The pedals seem O.K. but would permit being pushed forward another ½" at some time when it is convenient.
