XJ830 EFC2/T. 21st Sept., 1926. Mr. E.C.McKinnon, Messrs. The Chloride Elec. Storage, Co.Ltd., Clifton Junction, Nr. Manchester. Dear Mr. McKinnon, Re Tungstone Accumulator. I have your letter ref. ECM/EH. of yesterday's date. It was perhaps natural from the way you expressed the matter for me to suppose that I was under a misapprehension in thinking of your own grids as antimonial lead, because you appeared to imply that they were not. Apparently, therefore, you were asking me to make them a statement which was not true, namely, that it was my understanding that the grids of all lead accumulators were made of pure lead. In the circumstances I am afraid I cannot see my way to accede to your request of writing to the Tungstone Accumulator Co, and trust you will find some other means of finding the information you require. At the same time it is of technical interest to me to hear the results of your analysis that the Tungstone grids are of antimonial lead, and it would be very interesting to know what they have to say about this. Yours truly, | ||
