It seemed to be thought that the time had arrived when further experiments should be carried out with braking.

E's Staff.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} at this juncture raised the question of the work for the Birmingham Gas Corporation, and pointed out he is extremely busy. It was, therefore, decided since Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} thought E's Dept. to be a 'bottle neck' that another man should be engaged who could assist in E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} with the work for the Gas Company if there were prospects of an order, in addition to assisting E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} in general.
