re. SHOCK DAMPERS.

I understand from Mr. Hardy that our double valve was quite satisfactory for both diagrams and silence when applied to the vertical type, which you considered had the virtue of getting rid of the air.

If the above is true then it looks as though the horizontal type is being worried by the air in the cylinder.

You will see in another memo. that I have suggested we bring this J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 3. type in line with the other ones which are quiet.
