Delays in completing an instruction booklet, its translation, and issues with internal communication processes.

Moreover in addition to the causes of delay which have been specified there have of course continually arisen points in connection with the electrical arrange-ment which called for alterations and improvements, these having continually hampered the completion of the instruction matter.

The booklet is now in the process of being trans-lated into French and Spanish.

With reference to Mr. Pooley's memo reference Py6/DB{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}1/10/20. giving a precis of correspondence relating to the Instruction Books I should like to draw your partic-ular attention to the facts that :-

1. None of the memos from which extracts are given emanate from this department, which is responsible for the work under consideration.

and 2. Very few of the original memos from Sales to which these are replies were even shown to myself.
I beg to suggest therefore that in future delay and mis-understanding would be avoided if Sales would send memos relating to Instruction Books and Catalogues addressed to me and not merely "B/W" when, as appears to have happened, the memo lodges in some other department who send their reply based merely on a conversation with myself, in which case, the matter being complicated, it is impossible to give a true and comprehensive impression of the position.
