X/1534 Hotel de France. Chateauroux. Indre. 14.8.33. To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} From G.W.H. I.B.IV. During the early morning's run the Wind screen was broken by a Patridge hitting same. A flock passed over the road whilst Roberts was travelling at 80 miles per hour. One crashed through the wind-screen, the glass and the bird hitting Roberts on the head, fortunately no damage was sustained by Roberts. Another bird was impailed on the door handle. We presume this will be a case for Insurance, or may be you may think they have paid sufficient out. We leave it to your discretion. G.W.H. | ||
