To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} From G.W.H. Hotel de France. Chateauroux. Indre. 15.8.33 I. B. IV. The car is finished and ready to continue the mileage. The brakes are as original. The petrol system is complete. To obtain the supply we have had to open the passages in the tap to .250. The pumps now deliver at junction of carburetter pipes 120 pts. per hour. We have made the lay out accessible. The complete unit of pumps and filter can be taken out by disconnecting three nuts and two pipe lines. We have taken a photograph of the position which we will let you have later. We have just completed a test on the road and a steady 95 M.P.H. was maintained slightly downhill without any sign of shortage of petrol. On third gear 4500 revs. was maintained. We have already proved to our satisfaction that the system is proof against heat. We shall be pleased to have your comments when you see the lay out. G.W.H. P.S. - T. Fisher having completed the axle has returned to Derby. | ||
