To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to BJ. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} x8080 R5/M3.5.27. PHANTOM THROTTLE. X. 8140 X. 8080 7-EX, I understand is of the latest pattern, and yet I got the impression that it is not entirely free from sticking. As far as we can analyse it here it comes from the throttle sticking tightly, and jamming, suggesting if anything is wrong with this particular model, a still further increase in the closed angle, and some care to make sure it is not tight in the horizontal diameter.
