To Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} V5840 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/R.6/KW.16.6.34. 21-G.IV. We should like your opinion on the pick-up rattle on this engine from 10 to 30 m.p.h. on top gear; we have a new type of piston in this engine which I personally think is causing the trouble. You will also notice a certain amount of tinniness in the exhaust on the pick-up. Do you consider that this is worse than standard ? Do not criticise the brakes, we know that they are all wrong. We have a new type of clutch fitted to the car on which we should like your opinion. At the moment we are not very proud of it.
