Dear Sirs,
In reply to your enquiry of the 2nd November, the majority of British cars now use the belt drive for the dynamo. The precise number is not in possession of the Society, but I am endeavouring to obtain the information and will write you again as soon as possible.
I am also making enquiries as to the number of cars using belt drive for the water pump, and will forward you any information immediately it is available.
Yours faithfully,
A.{Mr Adams} Clutterbuck
Technical Department.
