A.{Mr Adams} Robotham Esq. 2. 7th December 1939. and by the application of geometric shapes, converging vanes in the pump, and other features, the fluid has substantially a streamline flow, reducing eddies to a minimum and also heat. Furthermore, I believe considerable improvements have been made in connection with the provision of an inner and outer reaction member, each of which may go forward but not backwards, according to circumstances. I personally, however, am inclined to feel that if you come up to a corner slowly, and after rounding the corner want to accelerate quickly, in a device of this kind there is bound to be some fussiness in getting away. The ultimate judgment on this, however, will be given by someone who can adequately express the advantages against the disadvantages, and can reconcile also the credit and debit of the matter as far as the purely technical side is concerned with popular appeal. As soon as one is available on a car, I will get David to come over with it and have a talk to you. At the moment I am not trying to sell the device, but I am more concerned with forming an accurate judgment upon it, and your help in this direction will be of immense value. Many thanks. Yours sincerely, C.L.Breeden Esq. | ||
