DRUMS 84117. SHIMMY SHACKLES. 19E.X. S/W HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Bs.{A J. Barnes - Assistant Manager}4/KH.15.6.32. Re Chassis No. 34-JS{Mr Johnson's Secretary} - Kaye Don. The writer saw Mr. Kaye Don at Conduit Street this morning, in connection with one or two items on this Car which require attention. Mr. Kaye Don said that the brakes are at present particularly ineffective and he has to depress the pedal level with the floorboards before anything happens. He also said that the Clutch is slipping rather badly, which is noticeable when the car is accelerated up. It was originally intended to send the car to "N" today, but Mr. Kaye Don afterwards mentioned you had asked him to return the car to "W", so that you could give attention to the brakes. He said he would be able to spare the car for a week from next Monday and we thought this would be a good opportunity for the car to be sent to you to receive attention. It has, therefore, been arranged that the car will be returned to Conduit Street on Monday next, and we will have it sent up to you during the day. I understood that Kaye Don would telephone to you today to let you know that he proposes to send the car to you on Monday next. If you would prefer to collect the car from Conduit Street, will you kindly let us know. Bs.{A J. Barnes - Assistant Manager} [Stamp: RECEIVED 16 JUN 1932] | ||
