(1.) Will you please refer to the above-mentioned memo, having reference to trouble which has been experienced on the above car due to the dynamo field fuse blowing on several occasions.

If you have been carefully over the electrical system and have been unable to find any obvious fault which could cause this trouble, it seems to us fairly certain that the field fuse has blown due to overcharging of the battery, as if the battery voltage rises to 27 [strikethrough] volts, and the dynamo is kept on charge for any length of time, the current through the dynamo field will rise to an excessive value and wil blow the field fuse.

This explanation is the more likely since the trouble did not occur until the car was used on a long run. Furthermore, the higher output dynamo which was recently fitted would aggravate the trouble if proper use of the charging switch is not made.
