VAUXHALL MOTORS LIMITED. SPECIFICATION L.8. SHOCK ABSORBER OIL. 1. The oil shall consist of a straight run, properly refined petroleum oil, free from water, sediment, resin, or any other substance not derived from petroleum. 2. The specific gravity at 60°F shall be between 0.910 and 0.915. (Now immaterial.) 3. The Open Flash Point shall not be lower than 260°F.{Mr Friese} 4. The Viscosity shall conform to the following range: @ 20°F 850 Redwood seconds maximum. @ 32°F 400 to 450 Redwood seconds. @ 70°F 115 to 125 " " 5.
