P.II. CHASSIS ROAD SPRINGS.

We note that we have been asked to carry out tests on the Phantom road springs with rolled eyes. We cannot understand why Messrs Firths cannot make the solid eye spring for the same price as Woodheads.

Bentley road springs produced by Messrs Woodhead are the cheapest we have ever bought and these have solid eyes. We heard Mr. Woodhead express the opinion that there is very little difference between the cost of rolled and solid eye springs.

We have done a tremendous number of tests on road springs lately, and generally speaking as soon as we have tested a Woodhead spring, Firths come down to about the same price. Cannot we get them to bring the price of their solid eye spring in line with Woodheads right away.
