Hsk E a deft? ORIGINAL To E; from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to R.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to CJ. S E C R E T Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG1.4.24. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} A.{Mr Adams} C. ENGINE. V9680 X9550 With reference to E1/M14.3.24. You state that the only EAC. engine we have yet tried in a chassis was one that was designed to go in an under-frame. We should like to point out that the car which PN.{Mr Northey} ran in France, had the correct crankcase and engine fixing. The only variation from the LeC. design is that we retain the present tubular front cross member and add a pressed steel member to carry the front point of the engine mounting. With regard to the retard vibrations complained of, they were equally as bad on PN{Mr Northey}'s car as on the original car with the temporary engine mounting. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
