X.2512 4117 EFC. BY10/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 17. 6. 24. 40/50 HP. CHASSIS. BATTERY IGNITION. CONDENSER. 30-TE. RUSSELL. I am handing you herewith a Condenser taken from the above car, the complaint in this case being that the Platinum Points burned away unduly rapidly. The matter has been dealt with by supplying one of the larger type condensers with a proper earthing connection. In the meantime, we would like you to carefully test the condenser we are handing you herewith, and try by bench running whether you can reproduce the faulty effects. We presume that you have a bench unit to which this can be fitted to carry out the necessary test. We think the first thing is to try and confirm EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}'s result on a bench test. If this can be done, an examination of the Condenser for capacity and good earthing contact would be desirable. BY.{R.W.
