INSTRUCTIONS.
To E.F.B.
Order No. W.A 46.
Customer's No. X 2512
40/50 mica condenser NO 2818.
Esc chassis 30 TE Russell.
This condenser broke down during the production test immediately the voltage at the terminals was raised from 200 to 400 A.C. (clause 1).
It is not thought that this was the cause of the points burning, but the fault is considered to be due to a faulty earth connection which by intermittently open-circuiting the condenser would cause arcing at the points.
The condenser at present is returned herewith.
Signed H.E.W.
