With further reference to the unsatisfactory servo fabric on this car which I discussed with you yesterday, I have asked St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} to keep his eyes and ears carefully alert to this part tending to give trouble again. In any case it would be wise for him to let you have the car at the first available occasion in order that the servo can be stripped down and examined.

It would appear to be very unsatisfactory that on this car almost fresh from the Works two servo fabrics have given trouble, and I should like to know from you whether steps should be taken, if not already done, for more satisfactory fabric to be made use of, with which we have had plenty of experience in the past.

Also, it would appear to me that the 25 H.P. car's thermostat control will require an additional spring such as fitted to the "Phantom II".

What are your views about this please ?
