RE NEW PHANTOMCodename for PHANTOM I FABRIC COUPLINGS

With reference to the complaint from EP {G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} regarding the Fabric Coupling Bolts coming loose. This will not happen if the Coupling Plates are properly pinched up and re-riveted and Bolts properly tightened up when fitting to Chassis.

As a matter of interest we examined the Fabric Coupling on 98-NK. This Coupling was fitted on March 30th. last and must have run a few thousand miles ( On examination we found the Coupling was giving out so it was therefore replaced) but the Bolts were quite tight. Obviously if Couplings are not assembled in a proper manner trouble due to slack Bolts will occur.
