Referring to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}7/R.4.3.38, according to the Laboratory report on the broken valve spring referred to in the Complaint Report W.130, the failure was due to corrosion, a trouble we have been free of for a considerable time. A complete set of new springs have already been supplied, and should any further failures occur on this chassis, we will consider fitting carbon springs with the anti-surge coiling. BY/Mtn. | ||
