With further to your order as above, which is for bearing shells in RR.AC.6. material, these bearings are in hand at the present moment and delivery will be pushed forward with all possible speed. We would, however, point out that we are working in collaboration with the Technical Staff of Rolls Royce regarding the production of this material, and also the Laboratory of High Duty Alloys, as it is the intention of all parties, in the early stages of production of these bearings, to make quite sure that the material, method of casting, and heat treatment are absolutely beyond reproach to ensure that in service the utmost satisfaction may be obtained. This collaboration unfortunately does make for some delay, but you may rest assured that we will despatch the bearings at the very earliest possible moment.
