NEW 40/50 HP. CAR - SIR NORMAN WATSON.

With reference to PN.{Mr Northey}1/WT.8.12.32. and Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}6/MJ.9.12.32. in which it is pointed out that there should be no need for a hand control for operating the radiator shutters, if it is still considered advisable to meet the customer's wishes in this respect a special scheme will have to be produced and new parts made. In one or two cases we have fitted hand controls on the 20/25 HP. chassis where customers have insisted, but we deleted the thermostat. To arrange for the shutters to be operated by hand control, as well as by thermostat, the scheme becomes a little complicated, and although there is no doubt that it could be done it would be much simpler to provide a hand control only.

We are asking the Estimating Department to let you know what would be the cost of fitting hand controls.
