contd :- -2- With reference to the P.W. job. We have fitted a Lucas magneto because the Norths which are supposed to be silent are just about as noisy as the magnetos we were fitting 3 years ago. We consider that we have been badly let down by Watfords on this job. Our final arrangement of the 9 1/4" pendulum lever on 8-EX with increased pivot lean and cross steering tube adjusted gives very good results. We think we ought to be able to cure a number of the steering complaints we have had by means of this modification. The only trouble is that the ends of the present standard side steering tube are too long and foul the frame on full lock. We can however use an intermediate tube with more moderate ends. | ||
