Re LARGER TYRES.

We believe that the only thing possible to do with reference to an increase in the capacity of the tyres is to use twin tyres at the back.

I have discussed the matter with Mr Johnson, and I object definitely to a larger diameter of wheel, and a larger section of tyre seems difficult to procure everywhere, so that there is nothing left for it but the twin tyres, which should be put through a thorough test as early as convenient.

I think, however, they should be avoided on trials cars, and cars with ordinary light bodies, and only used when we are obliged to provide larger tyres.
