- 2 - will have a lip on its upper edge for carrying shutters to a special design not incorporated in the radiator body. The tank itself is to have a water outlet on either side so as to make it suitable for either the 40/50 HP engine or EAC.II. For "W" Series, the radiator will be the EAC.II type as we know it to-day. 5. For "V" Series, a set of shutters will be produced which will be built up and not be a unit with the radiator. For "W" Series the shutters will be incorporated in the radiator itself to the present EAC.II design. 6. Engine. ---------- For "V" and "W" Series the present EAC.II engine (long connecting rod type) suitable for use with EAC.II Steering Column will be used. The fan, however will have to be carried nearer to the radiator owing to the increased distance between the front end of the EAC.II engine and the back of the radiator as compared with the 40/50. West WitteringHenry Royce's home town have been asked for this design. 7. Dynamo. --------- This will be the EAC.II type carried on the engine. 8. Pistons. --------- The particular compression which is to be used is not yet clearly defined. He will settle this in the course of a few days. 9. Exhaust Boxes and Exhaust System. --------------------------------- Owing to the fact that we are using the old Starter Motor, it will be possible to incorporate a system of exhaust like "T" Series, that is, a delivery from two sets of three, one at the front end of the engine and one at the back. The Exhaust Cut Out will be of the 40/50 type as we have no experience of the new EAC.II and must of necessity therefore order what we know. This will make the EAC.II Contd. | ||
