Exhaust System exactly similar to the original 40/50 Exhaust System before Four Wheel Brakes were incorporated.

"W" Series will have to be the same as above, owing to the fact that the time at our disposal will not permit of us experimenting with and settling up the question of the new starter motor and getting rid of the noise in the special exhaust system which the starter motor would demand.

10. Magneto and Battery Ignition.
"V" and "W". We shall require the standard Watford Magneto with the EAC.II. battery ignition, noting that both systems will have to be advanced by the use of Mr. Royce's improved governor ignition, operated by an oil relay.

11. Carburetter.
The present EAC.II Carburetter is to be used for both "V" and "W" Series.

12. Clutch.
EAC.II Clutch to be used for both "V" and "W" Series.

13. Clutch Coupling.
The "pet" type of coupling suitable for use with EAC.III First Motion Shaft is to be used for both "V" and "W" Series.

14. Gear Box.
"V" Series gear box will be precisely same as "U" Series in every respect.

"W" Series will be the present type box so far as its internals are concerned, but the box itself and the side lever mechanism are special for the sliding type change carried by the tower. The design for the sliding type change has not yet been received. The only difference in the mechanism in the box is that the locking mechanism is to take the place of the slides with any slight modifications that are necessitated to the sliders themselves by the change of side lever mech.
